The Certificate in Entrepreneurship is a nine-month academic program designed to provide structured instruction in core business principles, entrepreneurial theory, and analytical skills. This program offers structured academic instruction in entrepreneurship theory, business planning, and analytical skills, assessed through academic projects and examinations.
This program is also tailored for individuals looking to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset and is ideal for those starting a business, commercializing innovative technologies, working at a start-up, or leading entrepreneurial initiatives within larger organizations.
The certificate courses cover key elements of the entrepreneurial process, providing students with practical, hands-on experience in identifying, evaluating, and developing business opportunities. Throughout the certificate coursework, students must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher, with no course grade falling below a C (2.0).
Assessment includes: written exams, graded portfolio projects, group evaluations, and faculty-supervised presentations.
Upon successful completion, students will be able to:

36 Credits are required to complete this program:
F-1 students are required to take 12 credits per session with 3 classes in-person and 1 class online
Each course will be 3.5 contact hours per week and generally 9 hours of homework with 1 weekly quiz.
Requirements for completing this course:
Company Start-up Team Project: Start-up with multiple-members implementing what was learned in each course to present at on the last day of the course. 30%
Individual Start-up Project implementing what was learned in each course Sent as a portfolio 40%
Final exam for each course scoring 70% or better 30%
